ok here it is, We arrived on a sunny day at barton seagrave and after deciding to call heads (everyone else saying it would be tails) i lost the toss and was asked to bat Ash and Daryll opened and they set us up well with ash batting nearly the whole innings for 50 odd and daryll quick fire 30 off 20 odd balls, dale got a quacker micky added a few tony at 5 then added 16 in quick time and with overs running out everyone could afford to slog as ash was going well rich,aj.jc,athiq all added a few runs each leaving us on 129-8 off 14 overs.
Would of liked 140 but felt we could defend that total.

Athiq and JC opened the bowling with athiqs first two overs bit of a mixed bag but picked up a wicket jc keeping it tight the other.jc and athiq both bowled 3 each and after 6overs burton were well on way to victory with only the loss of 2 scalps from athiq dale then replaced athiq with athiq ending is spell the other end.dale bowled well and picked up two wickets.Aj then came on and after his first 2 balls went for 10 it was looking nervous but then he got right on it and only conceded 5 in his next 14 balls claiming 3 wickets.dale bowled an excellent last 2 overs aswell going for about 12 in them leaving jc to bring him back on for the last over with burton needing 14 to win, (sorry aj) i know you were bowling well.but i wanted rabbits!!! i aint gunna lie!! with then ony hitting 5 we won by 9 runs.

Also want to say spot on to rich who kept very well and took a good catch behind, top effort!! also to micky gloves who couldnt move in the feild but somehow hobbling over to AJ pointing around the feild then hobbling back saying badger ball seemed to confuse the batsmen and getting out next ball!!!

Well done guys - and thanks to JC and Tony for stepping into the breach of Captain and VC.

I will most likely have a selection issue next week so if all can let me know their availability early as possible then I will put together a side. Players outside last nights team that will most likely be available for consideration of selection next week include PK, Elliott, Liam, Nick, Bucky and PP.

Great to see Dale back for us - and even better to see ole Sicknote himself get through two consecutive games on a Saturday and Wednesday without needing an ambulance !!

Its always tough to have too many players, better than not enough for the team perspective, but if you dont have enough at least no one is disapointed !!

4 Points clear with 5 games to play - nothing is won yet and we need to keep pushing - but I'd rather be in our position than anyone elses !! Taking one game at a time and being over the moon as its a game of two halves...
