Mobs vs Unit - 20/5/09

The toss was lost, and for the second week running, we were surprisingly asked to bat.
Suthers and Bolton strode to the crease, with the latter hitting a couple of lusty blows before a fine catch at point disposed of him. Tommo walked to the crease, and promptly walked back without troubling the scorebook. Suthers was next to go, another low score for the one-time prolific batsman. Milos and Robin steadied the ship (by playing boring defensive stuff) and eventually parted. The returning legend Stables made a cameo appearance with a few runs, then the late arriving shrew added a couple. A couple of runs from the tail end skipper batting left handed and Yorkie getting himself LBW first ball, and running the skipper out on the same delivery ended the innings, on 93.

Tight enough start (Rolfy 3-0-13-00 and Yorkie (2-0-19-0) but no wickets, Suthers took 2 wickets with two good shorty catches as deep(ish) point, and it was all over.

Couple of pints after, the best team won.
