cavs v earls barton 3rd May 08 wooton hall

bit late and cant remember much about the game but here it goes

on a pleasant afternoon earls barton batted first with positive batting but with the cavs claiming a few wickets rolfy took 3.and althoughbarton were scoring quickly they had lost wickets but a very stron batting line up including a unbeating ton (retired) although was dropped on occasions from the earls barton batsmen and a 75 from no.10 (being bowled by Ducky Boy on his first ball of the season for cavs) barton reached a massive 310 in there 40 overs with everyone being hit for 6s including 3 in a row off jcs bowling.

tea was taken which included mini bacon buttys and the usual cakes and crisps

JC and Neil opened with JC reaching 21 quickly before gettin caught at mid on neil battled hard before being out behind tony had already been run out by this point and micky and Ducky Boy had failed to trouble the scorers peel added some runs in the lower (43) order supported by the tail but cavs ended well short on 102 (ish) all out
